Quick Reference - Tools Panel

Below is a list of the functions available in the tool panel. The most important of these is item "A" as it how you advance the slides. The next most prominently used features are the Pointer Tool ("C") and the Drawing Tool in Highlighter mode ("F").

  1. Previous/Next Slide: Move back and forth through a presentation. If presentation has animations, builds or transitions, clicking arrow will advance each transition or build.
  2. Slide List: Shows which slide is currently being viewed and total number of slides. Drop-down arrow on the right edge of this box allows you to jump to a particular slide.
  3. Pointer (Arrow) Tool: Used to draw attention to specific points on screen. Click icon once to turn Pointer on. Appears when left mouse button is clicked on the slide. Color of the arrow is the color assigned when joining the event and cannot be changed. Click icon again to turn pointer off.
  4. Text Tool: Enter text on the slides. Click icon once to turn on. Change the text color by selecting from the color palette. Click icon again to turn text tool off.
  5. Eraser: Erase individual annotations in the Content Viewer. Click icon once to turn on. Cursor changes to a crosshair. Click on an annotation to erase. Click the drop-down arrow next to the eraser tool and select Clear All Annotations to erase all annotations. Select Clear My Pointer or Clear All Pointers to erase pointers. Click again to turn off.
  6. Drawing Tool: Highlight or draw freehand lines on the slides. Click icon once to turn on. Default is a wide highlighter. Click the drop-down arrow to change to narrow pen. Click again to turn off drawing tool. Select from different colors by using annotation color palette.
  7. Line Tool: Draw line annotations on the slides. Click icon once to turn on. Default is a straight line. Click the dropdown arrow to select a line with an arrow on the end or a line with arrows on both ends. Click again to turn off line tool. Select from different colors by using annotation color palette.
  8. Shape Tool: Draw shapes on the slides. Click icon once to turn on. Default shape is a rectangle. Click the drop-down arrow to choose from ellipse, check mark, or X. Click again to turn off shape tool. Select from different colors by using annotation color palette. I) Annotation Color: Click the drop-down arrow to open the Annotation Color Palette. Select a color from the palette for text, line, shape and drawing annotations. Click the "X" to close the color palette.

 

To minimize the Tool Panel back to the Control Tray, click the minimize button in the upper-right corner of the Panel.

Participants Panel

Quick Reference - Participants Panel

This information is for reference only, as most presenters do not use this panel while presenting. This panel allows you to see who is presenting (who has control of the slides), the names of panelists and also provides access to the list of attendees by clicking View All Attendees. To minimize the Participants Panel back to the Control Tray, click the minimize button in the upper-right corner of the Panel.

Q&A Panel

Quick Reference - Q&A Panel

It is typical to allow audience members to submit written questions during the presentation. To see submitted questions, click on the question mark icon in the control tray. Please DO NOT respond in writing to any submitted questions. You are able to click and drag the top of this panel to any screen location. It is also possible to resize this panel by clicking and dragging the lower-right corner to the size/shape of your choice. To minimize the Q&A Panel back to the Control Tray, click the minimize button in the upper-right corner of the Panel.
