What is an audio + web virtual event?
An audio + web event combines visual content displayed via the web with audio delivered through the telephone. Visual content can include any text and/or graphics that can be converted to a web file format (i.e., HTML, .jpg, .gif, etc.) and inserted into a PowerPoint presentation. Speakers can conduct web tours, share applications from their desktops and conduct polling and Q&A. In addition, speakers can use the pointer tool, highlighter and several other drawing tools to annotate the slides and can use the keyboard to add text to slides during the presentation.
How does an audio only virtual event differ from a regular conference call?
KRM audio only events are professionally produced events that deliver a specific message to your audience – as large as several hundred people. Audio only events are similar to private talk-radio programs that need all the production qualities of a radio program - carefully planned, expertly organized and professionally engineered. These events are created through our production studios, which look much like radio stations, complete with sound mixing boards, audio engineers, etc. In comparison, conference calls could be thought of as “impromptu chats” between a handful of individuals.
How should I price my virtual events?
KRM sees a variety of pricing structures, but typically our clients charge between $195 and $395, per connection, for their events. This connection fee covers unlimited participants at each location, and most KRM clients experience multiple attendees at each location – from two to 500 attendees and more! Your registrants will understand the value of the convenience of no travel expenses and no time spent out of the office.
What can registrants expect when they attend a KRM Virtual Seminar event?
A few minutes before the event begins, your registrants will call a toll-free number and dial their PIN to enter the "virtual conference room" where music, your infomercial (short advertisement) and a countdown are provided. KRM’s moderator will provide opening comments, introduce your speakers tell attendees how to ask questions and wrap up the event with closing remarks. KRM events always begin and end on time – an important element you can rely on and one that differentiates us from the competition.
How many speakers should I have for my event?
We recommend a maximum of three speakers. But, many very successful events have just one speaker, are highly rated and do well in terms of follow up sales.
A discussion leader or "content moderator" who interviews a solo speaker, or guides discussion among the panelists and facilitates Q&A sessions is a relatively easy way to make an event even more compelling.
What can my speakers expect the day of an event?
Approximately 15 to 20 minutes before the event begins, KRM audio engineers begin calling your speakers. This gives the speakers, moderator and engineers the opportunity to go over any last-minute details and conduct a sound check in a private, pre-event "virtual green room" setting. A few minutes before the virtual event begins, the speakers are placed into the main conference where the listeners are waiting. KRM events always begin and end on time – an important element you can rely on and one that differentiates us from the competition.
Can KRM assist in planning my webinars and/or audio conferences?

What value does a KRM Moderator add to my KRM Virtual Seminar events?
KRM Moderators are professionally trained. They work with the speakers and act as "on-air" hosts throughout your entire event. The role of the KRM Moderator is to welcome attendees, make announcements and introductions, manage the polling and Q&A features, ensure smooth transitions between speakers, keep the speakers on track and so on. In addition, the moderator can assist the speakers in presenting their slides and communicating with KRM's technical staff. Our moderators allow speakers to focus on their presentations and offer peace of mind so you can relax and enjoy your events.

The KRM Producer serves as the primary contact for clients. Producers are also a technical experts who will coordinate and execute applicable details of your virtual events through the various steps of production in a timely and efficient manner.
What can my speakers expect when they speak for my KRM Virtual Podium event?
Speakers can expect to have an experienced and professionally trained on-air host to assist them throughout the virtual event. KRM will connect with speakers about 15 to 20 minutes prior to the event and assist in facilitating the live event from start to finish.
Is the online registration process secure?
Your online registration forms for all of your KRM Virtual Seminar events are hosted on a secure server at KRM, with secure ID issued by Verisign and all submitted data encrypted. Online registration forms can be linked from your website and/or promotional email to help you advertise/market your event.
How does KRM Virtual Seminar help my speakers prepare?
KRM conducts pre-event orientation calls (o-calls) that include the KRM Virtual Seminar Moderator, the speakers and you (the client), if you wish to participate. O-calls are extremely important to familiarize speakers with the virtual event format, to review the event's format (Q&A sessions, polling questions, order of speakers, etc.), and to answer any questions or concerns that you or your speakers may have. For audio + web events, the first o-call focuses on the features of the web conferencing software so speakers are better equipped to develop their slide presentation and use the software effectively (i.e., annotate slides, give web tours, etc.).
How does KRM Virtual Podium help my speakers prepare?
Speakers participate in an orientation call (up to 90-minutes) prior to every event led by your KRM Virtual Podium Producer, the speakers and you (the client), if you wish to participate. The orientation call focuses on familiarizing the speaker to the tools that will be used during the live event. KRM staff also discusses best practices and provide a general overview of the live event so everyone knows what to expect and when.
How does KRM Virtual Seminar send handouts to my registrants?
KRM converts your speakers’ handouts to a .pdf format so they can be delivered electronically to your registrants. Handouts are very important as a "visual anchor" for the attendees to follow during the presentation and as a permanent document where they can take notes and keep as a resource for future reference. Your handouts should be short (generally between 15 and 20 pages) and may include PowerPoint slides, outlines, articles, biographies and so on.
How does KRM Virtual Podium send handouts to my registrants?
This is an optional service. If you choose, KRM Virtual Podium® will ship handouts via email to all registrants prior to each event.
How does KRM take care of my registrants' and members' needs?

What special and helpful resources are available to me?

Does KRM record my events? In what formats?
KRM offers several great options for digitally recording your events. The audio portion of your live events can be produced as audio CDs for use in cars, home computers or portable CD players, and come with a copy of the materials in .pdf format on the audio CD.
In the case of an audio + web event both the audio and visual components of your event can be captured and synchronized for playback on a CD-ROM. The end result of this process is the equivalent of a “movie” of your event, complete with basic or more advanced navigation controls.
In addition to these options, KRM also offers you the option to provide your event recordings for “On-Demand” access via the web. This great technology supports both audio-only and audio-visual event formats and is a good choice for hot topics and information your customers want or need right away.
Any of these options represent a great way to build a library of your events and allow those events to keep on working for you, long after the live event has conclude.
Should I sell recordings of my events? What are the benefits?
The short answer is an emphatic YES!
If you’re like most KRM clients, you’ll have the opportunity to earn substantial additional revenue from selling event recordings either as a stand-alone product or paired in a “package” with the live event. The cost to digitally record your event is minimal, so even a small number of sales will more than cover these production costs.
When you consider the low production costs of event recordings, combined with the added value of extending the “lifespan” of the original live event, for most KRM clients the decision whether to offer event recordings for sale really isn’t much of a decision at all.
Be sure you’re not leaving significant revenue on the table by ignoring the demand for alternative access to your original live event.
Can my KRM Virtual Podium event be recorded?
A free CD master recording (Windows Media format) is provided for all events. KRM can also provide sales and fulfillment services, if needed.
What are the benefits of offering after-event products to my members?
Offering your members, customers or prospects access to your events after they’ve been presented live lets you extend the audience for the information and can also provide an additional revenue stream for your association or company.
